From a photo on your bed to five outfits for today
FeinLens reads each piece once, then builds outfits from your own wardrobe with a plain reason for every choice. Here is what happens in between.
What it reads
When you add a photo, FeinLens finds each piece, cuts it out and describes it. These are the seven things it notes. Anything it gets wrong is one tap to fix.
| What it is | Category and type: coat, oxford shirt, midi skirt, abaya, Chelsea boots. |
|---|---|
| Colours | Up to three, by name and swatch: camel, cream, navy with white stripes. |
| Fabric | Wool, cotton, linen, denim, leather, silk, synthetic, or “not sure”. |
| Warmth | Light, medium, warm or very warm. |
| How dressy | Relaxed, smart casual, smart or formal. |
| Good for | The occasions it suits, from your 17. |
| Seasons | When it makes sense to wear, so summer linen rests in winter. |
How it builds an outfit
Every suggestion has to pass six rules before you see it. If a rule cannot be met from your wardrobe, the card says what is missing instead of hiding it.
Complete
Every outfit has a top and bottom or a one-piece, plus shoes. An outer layer joins when the weather needs it; a bag or accessory when it helps.
Right for the occasion
Every piece sits within the formality the occasion asks for. An interview won’t get trainers.
Colours that sit together
Neutrals anchor, one colour leads. Pieces that clash are never paired.
Dressed for the weather
The outfit’s total warmth matches the day’s range, and rain changes shoes and layers.
Your preferences
Styles you picked, colours and materials you avoid, modest dress if turned on.
Rotation
Recently worn outfits rest; pieces you haven’t worn in a while get a nudge forward.
Weather
FeinLens sorts the day’s forecast into one of six bands, and rain is a modifier on top. It uses an approximate location for the forecast and does not store it. With location off, it dresses for the season in your region.
| Band | Temperature | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Hot | 28° and up | Light, breathable pieces; no outer layer. |
| Warm | 22° to 27° | Light layers; short sleeves are fine. |
| Mild | 15° to 21° | A light jacket or knit for the morning. |
| Cool | 8° to 14° | A coat or warm jacket over a mid-weight top. |
| Cold | 0° to 7° | Warm coat, warm knit, closed shoes. |
| Freezing | Below 0° | Very warm layers and boots. |
| + Rain | any band | Closed shoes, no suede, and a water-resistant layer when you have one. |
What it doesn’t do
Some things we left out on purpose.
Judge your body
No body scans, no measurements, no comments about shape or size.
Sell you things
Gaps describe a piece. There are no shop links, sponsored items or ads.
Share your photos
Photos are used to catalogue your clothes and nothing else. Never sold.
Post anything
Nothing leaves the app unless you share it yourself.
Guess who you are
Gender, religion or age are never inferred from your photos. You choose your preferences.
Need perfect photos
A quick phone photo on a bed or a door is enough.
