Why FeinLens exists

Most of us stand in front of a full wardrobe and reach for the same few things. Not because the rest is wrong, but because putting it together, for today’s plans and today’s weather, takes more thought than a weekday morning allows.

FeinLens does that thinking with the clothes you already have. It doesn’t push you to buy more, it doesn’t rank your body or your taste, and it explains every suggestion in plain words so you can disagree with it.

The name

Fein is German for fine, in both senses: well made, and in fine detail. The lens is the camera you photograph your clothes with, and the way the app looks at them closely. In the logo, the hook of a hanger curls into a ring that holds a camera aperture.

Who builds it

FeinLens is made by a small independent team in Aachen. We’re funded by subscriptions, not advertising, which is why your photos are never the product.
